Where do you live? North Carolina
How many years have you been running? 16 + (After a 22 year break I started again this Spring).
What are you training for? What are your goals? North Carolina Senior Games 800 m. My personal goal was 3:15.
Why do you run? To stay alive
What do you like best about working with Run Your Personal Best? Cory worked with me to develop a good training plan for the 800m.
What advice would you give to other runners? Senior runners need to go at training very carefully and allow plenty of rest time and days off.
What’s your favorite (or type) workout? I like hills and intervals.
What’s your favorite race you‘ve ever run? Why? This year’s NC State Senior Games 800m final. It was really my first competitive track race and it was a lot of fun, I finished in 3:34, just 8 seconds behind the bronze medal winner.
What gets you through tough runs or days you don’t want to run? Usually I don’t run unless I feel god and want to.
Is there anything else you’d like to add? I am looking forward to moving up an age group next year and kicking those old guy’s butts in the 800m.
